Everything but talking

I am used to listening to music in English and paying attention to the lyrics. When I was younger I loved the Irish folk music band, The Corrs (I still do) and I used to write and translate their song lyrics. I don't do that anymore, the writing I mean, but I like focusing on what the singers are singing when I put the radio on. Sometimes I fancy a song just because I feel connected with some of the lines. And since I listen to music every day, that's a way I include English in my daily life.
Besides that, I also follow English podcasts about topics I am interested in and I watch tv shows in the original version. For instance, yesterday I finished watching "The Morning Show" with Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon (I am proud of myself cause I was able to spell her name without checking the Internet, haha) and it was amazing, powerful, and moving. I totally recommend it.
I think it's important to include a lot of target language listening in your daily life, especially when you don't have to use it at your work or you don't live in a country where it's needed. Listening is a crucial skill and it should be on the top of your list.
Talking is fundamental, but it's hard to find the opportunity with all this covid19 situation, so I confess that even though is the number one skill to really show a language knowledge, it is precisely the only one I don't practice at all.
In conclusion, I listen to English a lot, I read in English a lot, and lately, I'm participating in a language writing challenge and I'm loving it. You should try it too ;P
